Overview

RoundTimerX is a locally-running interval timer application for Android. This policy describes how the app handles your information. The short version: RoundTimerX does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything the app stores stays on your device.

Information We Do Not Collect

RoundTimerX does not collect, store, or transmit:

Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
Location data
Device identifiers or advertising IDs
Usage analytics or crash reports
Contacts, photos, or any other device content

The app has no backend server, no user accounts, and makes no network requests.

Data Stored on Your Device

RoundTimerX stores the following data locally on your device only:

Timer routines — the preset configurations you create in the Preset Designer, saved as files in the app's private storage directory
App preferences — settings such as short breaks toggle, display options, and other in-app configuration

This data never leaves your device and is automatically deleted when you uninstall the app.

Permissions

RoundTimerX requests the following Android permissions:

Foreground Service — required to keep the timer running accurately when the app is in the background or the screen is off
Post Notifications — used to display the ongoing timer notification when the foreground service is active
Vibrate — used for haptic feedback at period transitions
Read/Write External Storage (where applicable by Android version) — used to import and export timer routine files at your explicit request

None of these permissions are used to collect or transmit personal data.

Text-to-Speech

RoundTimerX uses your device's built-in Text-to-Speech engine to announce period names and transitions. This uses Android's system TTS service. No audio is recorded, transmitted, or stored by the app.

Third-Party Services

RoundTimerX does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics libraries, advertising networks, or crash reporting services. No data is shared with third parties.

Children's Privacy

RoundTimerX does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because no personal data is collected at all, the app is safe for use by users of any age.

Data Retention and Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you are in full control. You can delete your timer routines from within the app at any time. Uninstalling the app removes all associated data from your device.

Changes to This Policy

If the app's data practices change in a future version, this policy will be updated and the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the change.
